Less Than Half’s mission is to get as many women collecting art by women artists as possible. Unfortunately, there are many barriers to entry in the art market, its opacity among them.

It’s not universal of course, but I have found that women like to have aaaalllll the information before they enter a situation. They like to have done their homework! (Raise your hand if you agree! 🙋‍♀️ Personally, I “do the reading” so I won’t be caught without the answer— which I find mortifying!)

So with this list, I hope to give a surer footing to the women out there who aren’t buying art because they want to spare themselves the embarrassment of not knowing their third party guarantees from their buyers premiums. (Books 1 & 2 can help you with those definitions.)
