Wow after reading this have to say I agree every month should be women's history month. Makes me wonder why the full truth is never really told?

I think the full truth is never really told. There will always be arguments over who inspired what, who invented which technique, who was the first to do xyz (was it Henry Moore or Barbara Hepworth who first put a hole in a sculpture, for example?).

Most often, a definitive answer will not be found, but it's so important to me that we contextualize our so called "geniuses" and make it clear that no one does anything alone. It's too often that when the context is a woman's influence or contribution it's just not mentioned.

I would think a genius would not care if it got the recognition of being the first to invent a particular technique given that they are so smart and can do things easier than most. You're right it's clear that no one does anything alone and this fact could connect us but instead a woman's influence evaporates with not telling a full truth. Enjoyed chatting.
